New Cuddle Cubs

6 new Charlie Bear Cuddle Cub characters, Firebird, Leopard, Signals, Sloth, Yeti and Zebra, have just been launched and will all be arriving at Bears Against MS next week (with the exception of Leopard who is on order but will be arriving later). They are all available for pre-order now. We also still have all of the original 12 Cuddle Cubs in stock and available for adoption with the exception of Lynx. If you're not familiar with Cuddle Cubs, they are an adorable range of pocket-size (5" sitting) super-soft plush characters, ready for a wild adventure (link to the Cuddle Cub page on our website where all 18 characters are featured is provided below). They are machine washable and suitable from birth.

I'd like to add a heartwarming story to this post. As many of you know, before my husband Murphy passed away earlier this year, he spent the last 9 days of his life in a hospice house. I was so impressed with not just the facility but all the staff and volunteers, I wanted to pay it forward and what better way than with teddy bears or other plush animals. So I have been donating some Cuddle Cubs to the house each month. One time when I was dropping off a donation, one of the nurses asked if I'd like to personally give one of the Cuddle Cubs to a patient who had already been given 3 and loved them. The patient was a lady, maybe in her late 80s and she had Rhino, Mountain Goat and Highland Cow lined up on her bedside table. She told me that Rhino was her favorite and that Mountain Goat was grumpy but she still loved him. I gave her Lioness. A smile lit up her face. She took the little cub, brought it to her face and kissed it, then gently held it in her lap. She thanked me and said Lioness was now her favorite. My heart melted. I learned that day that Cuddle Cubs aren't just for children. If you know someone who is living in the nursing home or is struggling with end of life issues or dementia, or if you are looking for a way to make a difference through a donation, a Cuddle Cub may not only bring some welcomed comfort to the person receiving it but seeing their reaction may also melt your heart as it did mine.
